The landscape is highly fragmented however the company enjoys a favorable niche in our ability to deliver a complete program to clients on relatively low volume production runs. Presently, approximately 80% of our die cast production has value added work associated with it.
Die Casting
SciCast specializes in high quality, technically difficult castings. Almost all high volume, relatively simple die-casting has gone to low cost overseas suppliers. SciCast was one of the first die-casters to recognize this trend and concentrate its marketing efforts on high quality, engineering intensive programs.
Military Contracts
SciCast has served as a reliable and trusted military services and products provider with more than 50 years of casting experience, specializing in high quality, technically difficult castings.
Custom Machining
SciCast provides machining and finishing allowing the company to supply customers with completed parts. This avoids the need for multiple vendors and complex supply chain logistics.
Corrosion Management
Sacrificial anodes are the ‘active’ metals that provide corrosion protection to other metal parts which are in contact with water. To the extent the anode is ‘consumed’, the protection no longer exists. SciCast has developed and patented the technology to monitor and indicate the wear of anodes. Our patented system gives an accurate, precise measure of wear of individual anodes.
